Ancillary task ideas
Me and my partner both worked together to think of that we could do for our ancillary task, we both wanted something that was stylish and easy that can catch the audiences eye. On this link is an example of what ideas we wanted Ancillary task, of some already existing album covers.

Advertisement and Final Idea
To advertise my music video i have chosen to do a poster of the artist and a CD cover along with scene of the music video itself.
This was chosen by me and my partner as we both want it o stand out and look different to other types of advertisements that are promoting music video singles.
We also want different clips from the music video to be used because then we can hopefully persuade audiences to buy, watch and support the artist that is singing.
We also want a picture for the album cover that stands out this is because we want it to capture the audiences eye, so before they buy it they know the album is professional, modern, stylish, and that will be able to promote itself and be known all over the world.
And at the end we have chosen to do a poster because we want a picture of the artist to show the audience who is singing and what they look like, this will also work well when promoting because it will work well with the music video and album cover of the artist.

CD Research and Final Idea
I have analysed many album covers that relate to my music video and that the sort of image I want for my album cover, and I have chosen this one to focus on because it’s similar to along the lines of what I want for my own CD cover. This CD cover has a mid shot of Jordin sparks and this shows the audience who the artist of the song is making her more recognised and famous. In this cover u can really see the emotion and attitude the artist has and what she is showing to her fans.
The way Jordin sparks is posing shows the audience that the song is a meaningful song and it had a lot of emotion in the album. This is a way to persuade audiences and fans to buy her single so they can relate to what is being said in the song.
The text used on the album cover is simple but yet it stands out, and it captures the audiences eye in a different way to other covers would. The writing on the cover makes the song have more meaning to it and doesn’t make the song unreal. Also the text of the writing makes it stand out because it’s simple but also it has style to it.
Me and my partner would both like our album cover to be similar to this, with a mid shot of the model, with artist name going across the middle along with the album name. And this will also be done in simple writing because it stands out and isn’t too much. The colours we would most likely use is either red or black or white and black as these are both simple and easy colours to use that match. Also this will make audiences notice the album and it should be eye catching.

shooting schedule
Me and my partner will hopefully be filming every lesson with my equiptment and other facilities we may need and we would also like to film after school aswell so it will give me enough time to get as much of the scene's and footage i need before the final hand in date which is the 23rd of march.

The predominate group of people in the genre are asian and black teenagers between the age of 16-19
2.)What are the common stereotypes?
The common streotypes are Hooded thugs, hooligans, rappers, etc
3.) Are they traditional or modern representations?
Traditional representations
4.) What changes have there been in society which have impacted on the representations of your groups?
Gentrification of urban areas, refurbishing of schools and areas, more jobs being available for youths

Shooting Plan
Me and My Group would like to film in every lesson if it is possible, using facilities and out of school that are easy for me and my group to access. Also filming outside of school time is essential as i would need a lot of time to film my work with my group.
19th November 2010- long shot recording of scenary, this was done in around town and easton. Easton being the main place where will be filming. (5 mins)
22nd November 2010-mid shot of lakeem being filmed in college, music room. Also filmed lakeem from a long shot walking towards the camera and into the music room. (10 mins)
3rd December 2010- filmed lakeem again with a close up in the music room of him singing, (5/10mins)
6th December 2010- filmed Waqar in the car singing, this was done by a close up to see facial expression, also filmed car driving past with a long shot also a tracking shot. (10mins)
9th December 2010- recorded Waqar in the same area for the scenery, done with a pan shot also did a long shot of him walking outside a house. (10mins)
9th February 2011- Going to film lakeem and waqar together of them both rapping and singing, with long shots and close ups (5/10mins)
18th February 2011- Filming waqar and me, waqar walking towards a car and then walking away, and this is done through a over the shoulder shot and a point of view shot.
